Too many IDKs from LIONs as well as Toplinked.com'mers. Emailed the offenders reminding them what it means to have LION or Toplinked.com on their profiles. So now I'm accused of harrassment and suspended from LI for 30 days. BTW no surprise here, there is no appeal.

So now that I'm LI-free for a month, what other networking sites out there allow open networking? I have 8203 direct connects on Linkedin. I'd like to have that many on any decent competing site within 30 days. That's my goal.

Xing? I don't see a way to do mass invites there. I have to click and approve each connection.

Spoke.com? They claim they have 40 Million members but I read some bad stuff about these guys on the net. Also it seems they have built my profile before I even logged in by scraping stuff off the internet. They say I can connect to other users, but I'm not sure all those "members" are actually members.

Ecademy? They don't say how many people are on there.

Any suggestions?

Did you use Linkedin to contact them or private email? If it was private email LinkedIn has no business in it! as they are members of other groups you have the right to contact. I am getting very feed up with Linkedin's methods to say the least I have been lucky only 2 IDK from the Dallas Blue Network open to invite list

I have suggested repeatedly to identify those hand out IDKs in various forums, from partial to complete. Yet, no one follows, at least publicly. If someone setup a website, I'm happy to help you publicize and let everyone know.

Most of my IDKs are from those ex-LIONs. They just ignore my request to reconsider.

Have just signed up to pulse - but it seems very similar to Linked In in layout but less business focussed - part of the same?

I am also part of pulse and LI. Pulse is to great extend the same as LI. Let me recommend Marzar.com. John Horsley who set up the site is a great guy. Marzar is smaller but much nicer and quicker.
If you are looking for something different, then go for Ecademy. It have an active presence outside the network and is particularly active in the UK, where it originally was set up. It has lots of groups with much better interaction possibilities than LI.
