I believe this website is a great help to build your network.
there is anyway a side effect: junk emails.
For me this is beaming a problem right now.

I removed myself from the laion yahoo group but I'm still recieving invitations from people saying they are using the invitation tool from this website.

does somebody knows how to be removed completely from lion (yhaoo group and invitation tool)?

no ... only registered Lions can see profiles and connect to each other ... emails are NOT posted in ANY PUBLICALLY ACCESSIBLE area ... so most email "harvesting" technologies are thwarted ...

that's also why we liberally use "chaptchas" and email confirmations for registration and access to Private Areas of The Lair ...

the YahooGroup subscriber list has always been the default Invite List but some of the newer members don't understand that ... so we are moving to a double-optin lists created by your lions profile ... that should solve the problem

August 1 we will stop using the YahooGroups Subscriber List as the Invite list -- after August first only those who have double optedin on their profile will be included in invite lists ..
