Requests to link in other networks 2007/07/12 15:34 Karma: 0
Hello fellow LIONs!

As a relatively new LION, I would like to ask about requests to connect on other networks, i.e. Ecademy, Xing. I have received several requests to connect to other networks, often from fellow LIONs, and have begun to wonder if these are common in the "open to mass invites" list?

Thank you!

Best wishes and regards,

Hey Elizabeth,

I've had the same and put it down to the LIONs using the same list of potential contacts on all of the networking sites that they use.

I don't think there is any harm in refusing to connect on the plethora of other sites that are out there. I'm honest with myself and don't believe I have the time to maintain and contribute to more than my LinkedIN network at this point in time so haven't joined the others.

As and when I have the spare time I'll certainly be accepting the regular invites I get.

All the best

Saif

The Uploadable List was designed for LinkedIn partly because of the functional role of "LinkedIn Connections" vis a vis - Visiblity in the LI Profile Database and their unique "Human SPAM filtered" Intermediary approach to Referral

I believe it is less important on real social networking platforms

but we could certainly develop such list if Members want them
