I have to agree, somewhat, with Grayson. Was there a great outcry against the old interface, did we have issues with it, was there some forum for input into the new one? Rhetorical as these may be I'm sure you asked yourself those exact questions the first time you logged in and saw the new UI, I know I did.
It looks like it was in the same vein as Microsoft's revamp of Office; supposedly more intuitive, but simply made people memorize new locations for everything they already were comfortable with - maybe a few new features, still can't find them though...
And so, we all adapt, forget it was any other way, and wonder how we got along with the "old look"...
