Linkedin's New Look What's your thoughts

Like so many changes it will take getting used to What do you see as the net outcome of the changes?

I like it. It somewhat reminds me of our Intranet. But it will cause some confusion and havoc while users get used to the new layout and place holders and of course learning to customise their screen.

Its a new look ... with the same functionality. It'll be some time & efforts before I get used to it. But for the efforts there is nothing better / extra as compared to the previous version.

I dig it. It looks more 'modern' somehow.

The "new look" is the answer to a question nobody asked.

I have to agree, somewhat, with Grayson. Was there a great outcry against the old interface, did we have issues with it, was there some forum for input into the new one? Rhetorical as these may be I'm sure you asked yourself those exact questions the first time you logged in and saw the new UI, I know I did.

It looks like it was in the same vein as Microsoft's revamp of Office; supposedly more intuitive, but simply made people memorize new locations for everything they already were comfortable with - maybe a few new features, still can't find them though...

And so, we all adapt, forget it was any other way, and wonder how we got along with the "old look"...

It is change without improvement. Perhaps it is just their IT department doing something to stay busy, since they don't respond to our suggestions for improvements or bug reports.

I must admit that is looks better and it is also partly better structured. That is the positive comments ...

However the new layout has also forced you to do more scrolling and it is definitely much slower and that is very annoying (I have a 4 MB line).

I would definitely have preferred that LI had worked on the functionality.

There is still a lot of work (bugs) they need to fix. While making this post I tried 5 times to go to the two questions above and all I got was an error: "There was an unexpected problem that prevented us from completing your request." I hope they log it.
