Hello GaryWhen you have downloaded the file you follow the instructions:
1. Download the list.
2. Scroll down the list until you find a date entered after the last time you downloaded the list.
3. Delete all the dates and addresses above your new starting point including the column titles.
4. Delete column A.
5. Save the list to your computer as a "CSV" file.
6. Open LinkedIn and import the list on the "Invite" page.
7. Follow the LinkedIn instructions.
Item 6 may not be obvious. The whole point is that when you go to "invite" page (This link should bring you directly to it:
http://www.linkedin.com/uploadContacts?displayUploadContacts=&context=2) . To do this manually you do this:
- Select connections in the right hand menu
- Click "Add Connections"
- Click "Import Contacts"
- Click "Other Address Book"
- Select the created CSV-file
- Follow the LinkedIn instructions
This procedure for using external contact lists is explained
somewhere on LI. However it not the first thing you come across.
The end result should be that an invitation is sent to approximately 1300 other LIONs. Notice that your current connections, i.e. me, in the list is automatically removed before sending the invitations.
I hope that helped ?
Kind Regards,
Frank Mandix
