I have noticed a slowing of activity on Linkedin with the continued problems they are have after their latest update. What is everyone thoughts on the long term effects of this? Will it drive users away or will they patiently wait for Linkedin to get things right?

I think critical mass matters. I use linkedin more and more, and there is a switching cost that precludes impatience now that I have over 250 quality contacts.

Joe,
What up dates are you refering to? I probably use LI inefficently, or not enough, so while I did notice changes I didn't see any that were a problem.
The news section at the top anoys me and I don't like knowing that my profile was accessed but not knowing by whom. Other than that it's the same old LinkedIn, I think.

This was from October 2007 and long over but there current problems seem to be plentiful also,

I am new, but I was a bit disappointed when I saw the "October" list. I thought that this meta network might be on the ball a bit better than that.

Hi Paul,
I agree... My understanding is that the original plan was to have monthly updates, but it all may have gotten too time-intensive and labor-intensive for Christain Mayaud (the founder of this group). It IS a free resource, so I guess we can't look a gift horse in the mouth.
I'm with you, though, and will keep my fingers crossed that an updated list becomes available very soon.

If everyone would just add their email address to the list as the become members of the LIONS Lair the list would always be current. Perhaps a field for the date you entered your information could be included so that you wouldn't keep inviting the same people.
Just a thought.

Part of problem is list maintenance.
I joined LION in late June and downloaded the June list. However, I found out that an ex-LION’s email address still there. I ended up two IDK from him (one original invitation and one replaced invitation).
