Rule #1 to have more connexions is to get invited . To do this, you should post an email address into your title. I wrote "a" as I discourage you to put your main one. Just create one at gmail or equivalent, register it with LinkedIn and include it in a non machine readable way into your LI title. Have a look at http://www.linkedin.com/in/professional for an example (having several domain, I could create a specific email address without using gmail).

And may-be add your picture. It helps.
