You are spot on. I had the same issue using the list. I suspect that the individuals concerned did not realise what they were doing.

You have a very valid point. I had some IDKs but they were not from the list, and I did not find out until too late the impact to my account.

Linked-In is getting quite egotistical and annoying. When I try to invited folks, I get a message indicating I'm not allowed to invite anyone - but I have only 926 connections - far fewer than the 2-3K allowed (is it 2k now?).

I think they'd make far more money selling commercial ads on the site and letting it wide-open for all users to interconnect than charging the user or restricting free/paid members.

I completely agree with you. If you make the decision to connect when joining, you should stay true to it.
