I'm not sure this is the correct section. Please let me know if it should be somewhere else.
I'm receiving about 3 emails a day from people wanting me to invite them on LI. Now if the writer has many connections and possibly over their invite limit, I've considered it in the past. But often it is a recruiter and/or someone with relatively few connections.
I've reached the point where I'm not even bothering to click their profile.
I don't care if newbies are scared of getting their account banned or fear of DNK's it's lazy.
Now that I've ranted, can there be a note on the double opt in list that spamming a request for an invitation is poor form?
Or am I being grumpy this morning?

I would not call it lazy those of us with large networks have invested large amounts of time and effort into them. I don't know about others but I try and keep my invitations simple usually just a note that I am a LION and a thanks

Hi Joe, I wasn't complaining about receiving invitations, but about emails that go "hey I'm an open networker, so send me an invitation" when the sender says nothing about being out of invitations.
I'm receiving many of these from people with less than 500 connections when I bothered to check.
