It has been fun and I met many nice people but I now want to stop receiving any new open invites. I marked that on my profile but the invited seemed to go up now down so I need to just bow out completely. I can not find any place to do it? I wish everyone the best and hope to keep the great connections I already made. Thanks - Martin

I still can not figure out how to be removed from the LION list, can you please help me if you know? I will have to start saying "I don't know" to people if I can not accomplish this. I can not find out how to be removed anywhere in this group. I was open to meeting some new people and joined here before I truly understood that it is about connecting then getting to know people. I have met some very nice people and am sure most have positive intentions but I want to build my network by relating in someway first. The Questions area offers that. My linkedin in box is overwhelmed with members of this group and that does not work for me, I have missed very important contacts because of so many invites by people I don't know. As I have learned more of the intention and request of Linkedin I fully understand that the design is to build the relationship first then connect. To slow down the networking process to keep the quality of the relationships as high as possible. My desire is to either be aligned with the intention of a group or find one more aligned with my intention. I am very comfortable of taking my time to build long term relationships in linkedin and that works better for me. This is just a person preference.
Thanks for your help. Martin

A simple way to stop receiving invitations should be something as follows: login-->forum-->my profile-->LinkedIn-->click Do Not send Mass invite to me.
Other than that, I think you need contact administrator -- Christian Mayaud that you want out. Yet, I heard that he is not very active right now in maintaining the list. Good luck.
On the other hand, I heard that Dan Light is trying to building an alternative list. Contact him and make sure he removes your email from the list.
Nice to have you here, Martin.

An alternative way to deal with it is to make change in your LinkedIn: account & settings (top left) >> receiving messages >> (choose) no email for invitations.
This way you will not receive any email when someone sends an invitation. Afterwards, you can archive any unwanted invitations in bulk: inbox (left side) >> (right side) invitations >> (choose/click on left side) unwanted messages >> archive (bottom).
Hope this could help you.
