Governor Phil Bredesen
First Floor, State Capitol
Nashville, TN 37243
Dear Governor Bredesen:
As a taxpaying citizen of Tennessee, I do not believe we need an underground ballroom four to five times larger than the East Room of the White House, especially when twenty-nine other states do not have a ballroom, and six other states have no Governor’s Residence at all.
Right here in Nashville, we have plenty of other plush venues that could easily accommodate any upscale function: The Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Loew’s Vanderbilt Plaza, Opryland, and the War Memorial Building.
To that end, I vote against an underground ballroom.
CC: Members of the Tennessee State Legislature, and Members of the Tennessee State Building Commission
