Conservation Hall Dubbed Bredesen’s Bunker!

Can We Talk About That? !!!

We the citizens of Tennessee want the project halted and disapproved!

“We commend the First Lady and the governor on renovating a home that needed it — a new roof, an updated kitchen — Tennessee needs to be proud of the home it provides its governors,” said Rep. Beth Harwell (R-Nashville). “But as a member of the House Finance Committee, I believe that this project has gone too far with a disregard to both the neighbors and the taxpayers’ money.”

The underground ballroom, called “Conservation Hall,” will be a 14,000-square-foot space located in the front yard of the Executive Residence on Curtiswood Lane in Oak Hill.

The ballroom will encompass about 3,000 sf of the 14,000-15,000 square foot facility..

Overall, Conservation Hall will cost about $19.5 million in “allegedly” private funds to build, plus up to $$$ (unknown) million in state dollars for connecting facilities, yearly maintenance and upkeep…

It is unlikely the “Bredesen Bunker” ballroom will be made available for the communities use, given the neighbors’ hostility to the facility even being built in the quiet residential neighborhood, even though, rest assured, its operation will be funded by taxpayers.

First Lady Andrea Conte spearheaded the project, which also renovated the existing mansion that had been in disrepair.

1.) Sign the petition at www.taxwastestopshere.org to officially register your objection to the estimated $19.5 Million Dollar ballroom.

2.) Email, Fax, Mail and/or call the Governor and the members of the state building commission. Simply state you are against the government spending your tax dollars on building Conservation Hall, a ballroom the majority of Tennesseans will never see or use.
