Martin,

I am in the same boat...

I joined LIONs briefly in 2007 and quickly discovered that it was not for me. Edited my profile and checked the do not send mass invites to me . Years later I am still receiving mass invites from LIONs.

This is really not a community that is designed to consistently respect the wishes of those of us who wish to opt out.

Good luck,
Isaac...

I am new to the LIONS' Lair and looking to extend my list of contacts, I think this is a great idea and love the idea of having a big network.
http://www.linkedin.com/in/ianmcintosh1

Something I include in my introduction emails is this little line which works well for me:-

'Our value is in who we know within the industry sectors that we specialise in.'

I also like to include or mention something about how I am keen to get a better technical understanding of certain industries.

I hope this...

Friends.
I am an international author with two books to my credit.
I am noticing an anti-LION sentiment on linkedin since 2005 (when I joined)
I am having 1000 invites in my account and am happy to invite 1000 LIONS who will not click IDNK button.
I have a 3000+ network of book readers across the world.

Please send a blank email to fenomenon@rediffmail.com with SENDINVI in the subject and I will surely invite you to connect. Offer limited to first 1000 LIONS only....

Joe,

I agree with you. Christian seems to have disappeared and/or lost interest in this project. The group discussions on LinkedIN are interesting, but lacking frequency, and the same seems the case of our YahooGroup. LinkedIN is attacking the LIONs (see the article in CIO magazine), and has placed a cap on the number of contacts one can have.

What is the solution? How can open networkers -- and the LIONs -- survive these attacks?

Hello everyone,

I'm excited to be a part of a group interested in building networks, as networks of people interacting is the point of being here... in life. :)

I live in Idaho and am a partner in a national promotional event staffing company. Sales have been a bit on the weak side so like everyone we are reaching out to others to build our business relations.

I look forward to connecting to like minded people!

Thanks,

Hello there

First welcome to the LIONs Lair.

I am a Danish Software Architect. I enjoy meeting new people and helping my network.

Currently the best way to expand you network in LI is to respond to all the requests for connections. They mostly occur in this group (on LI), opennetworker.com, inviteswelcome. Look for names with open in it.

If you want to be part of my large network (22M+) then send me an invitation.
You’ll find my profile at http://www.linkedin.com/in/frankmandix (just c...
